Workshops
In order to facilitate and produce innovative collaborative research, TransCanada Institute invites applications for workshops to be pursued in collaboration with the Institute on research areas that fit its mandate. The Institute can sponsor one workshop a year.
Sponsorship involves the following:
- partial financial support toward the workshop and/or publication of its research results
- workshop venue and technical facilities free of charge
- co-application for funding support when applicable
- support from at least one doctoral-level research assistant
- circulation of CFP
- assistance with organizational matters
- collaboration with the Director and/or the Institute's Postdoctoral and Doctoral Fellows when applicable
- editorial and other related kinds of support
To organize a workshop in collaboration with the Institute, please submit an online application by October 1, at least one year in advance of the workshop's date, along with the following material:
- Curriculum vitae
- Description of workshop and rationale
- Methodology of research to be pursued
- List of participants, accompanied by biographical note (no longer than a page), and their expected contribution
- Statement on anticipated collaboration
- Publication and dissemination plans
- Budget

Applications for collaborative workshops will be considered by the Institute's Advisory Board and, when necessary, by scholars not directly affiliated with the Institute. Results will be announced in early January.
